USS Constitution Model
Military Heritage Museum is pleased to accept a 5' model of the USS Constitution. The ship model was originally built by Floyd Lach. It has been donated by niece Betty Nalow. Both Floyd and his wife Virginia served in the US Navy. The kit, that this model was built from, was a wedding anniversary gift from Virginia to her husband. It took a year to complete, using materials that included: wood, string, glue; paint, stencils, tweezers, razor blades, etc. Learn more about the history of the USS Constitution.

The Military Heritage Museum sponsors two Youth Naval Sea Cadet programs which introduce American boys and girls to naval life in an effort to develop personal pride, patriotism, courage, and self-reliance. TS Abingdon cadets at the Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) serve youth ages 10 to 13. The Naval Sea Cadets Corps (NSCC), Vollrath Division serve 13 to 18 year olds. Sea Cadets are authorized by the Secretary of the Navy to wear Navy uniforms appropriately marked with the Sea Cadet Corps insignia.
